Voted for bumrah. But imran ahead as now imo. Hopefully bumrah would have atg series when we tour sl and nz in 26 and pick 25 wickets @ home bgt should seal his spot

Perhaps. Everyone gets overrated during their primes.

By 2019 Smith had done enough to be rated among the best and ahead of let's say Lara for me. I don't think I have dropped Smith below Lara after that. Now if he had a decline like Kohli then it would be a different issue.

That's expected. Most players will decline after peak. I recall SRT, Ponting, Dravid etc averaghing near 60 after playing lots of tests and then declined.

If I recall, Sanga had 5-6 tons against BD with around 1K runs in his last couple of years. That can help to keep an avg from falling.
