Peak Bhajji was glorious tho.

Peak Bhajji was essentially that one series tbh. He was still very good for 5-6 years after that but failed to ever take over as the leader of the attack. It was undisputedly Kumble all the way till 08 and by then Bhajji was pretty crap.

Ugh, Bhajji bowling down the legside is what I can recall best when thinking about him, not his best test series.

Kumble was terrible outside Asia till his resurrection in that series v Australia. After that, his away stats are respectable.

Here's an interesting question. Which bowler had the most variations? It'd probably be a toss-up between Gupte and Chandra. Bhajji?

voted Gupte to be a cricket hipster but it's probably Kumble really. They all have like the same average he just maintained for way more tests
