International Coach
He might win ct and bcci would forget about nz whitewash and Australia humiliation
The sad part is so will a good chunk of fans. Have seen a fair few in YT (like 50%) say every winning streak eventually ends after NZ loss; and have heard fans say winning 3 series back to back in Australia wasn't an achievable goal and 3-1 is a respectable scoreline...... **** off!

Really hope Bumrah sits out of IPL. So does every prospect for England test series after the IPL.

Whatever it takes!!!
So, for the rest of the year, our schedule reads -

Tour of England - 5 Tests - June and July
Tour of Bangladesh - 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is - Aug
Asia Cup in UAE - however many T20Is (technically home as hosted by BCCI) - Sep
Home Vs Windies - 2 Tests - Oct
Tour of Australia - 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is - Nov
Home Vs RSA - 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is - Dec

Then early next year,

Home Vs NZ - 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is - Jan
T20 WC (India and SL hosting) - Feb-Mar

This is the ideal time, esp. the tour of Bangladesh to try our ODI side without the stalwarts - Virat, Rohit, Hardik, Jaddu, Shami, Bumrah, and maybe even Kuldeep.

I would wanna see -

Jaiswal
Gill (c)
Tilak / Sai Suds
Shreyas (vc)
Axar
Rahul (wk)
NKR
Washy
Harshit
Varun
Arshdeep

Kinda scared that 6/7 years later and how much of our ODI side still looks the same -

I think the make up of the squad is pretty much set. I think India want to open with Rohit and Rahul, but they still want to give chances to Dhawan. I expect all 3 to make the WT20 squad. Kohli will bat 3 and Shreyas will bat 4. Pant is slotted at 5 for now, but like you said, I won't be surprised if DK steps in. Also there is the off chance that they just give the gloves to Rahul and bat Pandey at 5. But at this time I think one of Pant or DK will play. If DK makes it, he will bat 6. If it is Pant, he will bat 5. I expect Jadeja to fill in the other slot. Then Hardik at 7, Sundar at 8, Bhuvi at 9. One of the wristies at 10 and Bumrah at 11. So expect the squad to look like this :

Rahul
Rohit
Dhawan
Kohli
Shreyas
Manish
Pant / DK
Jadeja
Hardik
Sundar
Bhuvi
Kuldeep
Chahal
Bumrah
Chahar

And I think the best XI would be this:

Rohit
Rahul
Kohli
Shreyas
Pant/DK
Jadeja
Pandya
Sundar
Bhuvi
Chahal
Bumrah

Dhawan will be the extra opener. Manish the extra middle order bat. Chahar the back up seamer. Kuldeep the back up wristie
