Identify the Signature

Hi all

New to this site and I acquired this bat with someones signature on it, have been told the bat was issued during a match at Lords cricket ground and signed by a professional player!

Can anyone identify or make out whose signature that can be?







Would be good to know if anyone can help

Oh course it is, that's WM Scribble, he opened the batting for Middlesex in the 1940s.

I remember Steve O'Shaughnessy had a signature in which not a single one of the letters in his name could be identified. So it could be him.
