Idea for the Young 'Uns

Why not, when the CW International Team play American Samoa, have a CW u'19 team play an exhibition game against a CW International Select XI (ie A team made up of players from outside CW that play in the league)?

It would be best to have it as an exhibition so that cards and injuries do not carry over, it would be great to give a lot of the younger guys recognition and give 1 young non-manager a chance to get captaincy and tactical experience.

Looking at the potential teams, it would be a good game and I think all recognition and extra football is a bonus and benefit.

Because the Premiership needs 96 players?
They would still be available for all club games. An exhibition game wouldnt clash with anything else. The only reason the senior players aren't available for all games is because they are being held out of round 8 to ensure no injuries or suspensions.

Go for U-21s as the second string International side tbh. Easier to research other team's data for it too.

Hmm do people actually read the original post :)

It would not require any research as the game opposition would be selected from the guys in the CW Premiership that are from other countries.

So as I suggested, a CW u'19 team play an exhibition game against a CW International Select XI (ie A team made up of players from outside CW that play in the league)

Agree with Matt to be honest, U-21 is a more standard international age group for football than U-19. Seeing as there are lots of 20 year olds in our league, it also opens up opportunity for more players. Like the idea of a youngster team, though.

just my two cents.

Not likely to happen at this stage... We dont have enough people in the league to really sustain 2 national sides... If/When we get more people/teams then we can look into such a venture..
