How many grounds have you watched cricket at?

Fair enough, but train fare in addition to entrance fee is a bit too pricey for me, even with my YP railcard.
Yes, it can push up the cost quite a bit. I try to make sure I travel after 10 am (even if it means missing the first hour's play) or at weekends if I'm getting the train. But it costs £10 to park a car at Canterbury, while the train fare is £11, so with 80-odd miles of petrol it's a no-brainer really.

Having said that, it took me three hours to get home tonight. :@

Whatever it takes!!!
WoW, quite some achievement that.
lol, it would be but the ground's just a five (or max. 10) min walk from my house, so not that big a deal, given that I was only a student till a couple of years ago... From now, I guess it will be a bigger problem... First, there is the matter of work and second, they are planning to get another stadium. :@

Even with the ground being just a short distance from your place, it's still an amazing effort to be able to organize (or have organized for you - I presume you were only 5 or so in 1987) to attend every game - never have something on, never be ill, never be too late to get a ticket, etc.

Went to Mainpower Oval in Rangiora today for what I thought was the final day between Canterbury and CD but either it was finished or I buggered
up the dates.it would have been the first time in about 30 years I've been to a domestic game having lived at them as a kid.
High up on the bucket list is to get to the Caribbean for a test series/holiday.
