Group A - Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates

Everton Seymour

U19 Debutant
Namibia played very ordinary cricket after their win against Sri Lanka, instead of playing with the underdog spirit they tensed up and played conservatively in their matches against Netherlands and UAE asking a lot from their star all rounder to get them home ..Easier said than done but the best T20 teams stick to their strengths regardless of the competition context. That's what Namibia would be most disappointed about I reckon, that they couldn't play their best cricket.

For example against Netherlands if it was a bilateral game would Frylinck have played so conservatively ? 43 off 48 and you have Wiese in the dugout who comes out with 10 legal balls left in the game ... Unforgivable

Against UAE so many mistakes , Tense and timid batting display and UAE to be honest could have ended the contest a lot sooner had they fielded better. It's important for Namibia that they learn from these experiences , hopefully they get more opportunities to do so .
