Greatest Tour Match of All Time?

When Australia A chased a big score against England at about 12 runs an over to win will take some beating.

When England came here last time round NZ were generous and gave them roughly a second XI to face.

NZ second XI won the game thanks to Latham, Brownlie and Watling. Rutherford scored runs too iirc and debuted the next week.

Bound to be a cracker from the days of sides touring England when they played about 10-12 of the counties on tour.

Most interesting tour game I remember was when England toured the UAE in 2012 and played a warmup against an Associate XI like we've been picking in random fantasy threads for years

Tour Match: ICC Combined Associate and Affiliate XI v England XI at ICCA Dubai, Jan 7-9, 2012 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

They actually conceded a big lead after random hack Christie Viljoen randomly hacked 98 from down the order.
Weird low scoring game on the 1948 Invincibles tour between Yorkshire and a Bradman-less Australian side.

I didn't actually mean for there to be serious discussion of course, but keep going, these are fascinating

Ilingworth with 68* and 4-for in both innings - think you might have taken his finest hour away from him with that description.

What a champion Yorkshire side in any case
All down to Fiery Fred though - bear in mind it was one of the few times he was skipper

an unrelated feature is that they shared an 120 over partnership and faced the basically the same amount of deliveries.

it's this type of mateship the kiwis dont have and it's why we beat them at football nearly half the time
