The ***** international school for umpiring at work again

Glad someone finally protested it, maybe then the ICC will realize the futility of the umpire in the 21st century, render them obsolete, fire each and every last one of them, and replace them with on-field robots that look like Johnny Five.

If you don't practice something then you're almost certainly going to be no good at it. It turns out that if you don't practice calling no-balls by actually doing it, you make wrong calls when you attempt to do so.

But I suppose Tanvir was very good at checking the bails were level or something so it doesn't matter.

You can't have home umpires in the sub-continent, they aren't capable of being impartial. You need neutral umpires for every form of the game when playing over there

I have to say this was bias clear as day. In the same over he called two wrong no balls and decided a 4 was a 6. In his previous match he gave an awful lbw off a huge inside edge which fortunately we overturned through drs.

In this limited over series the umpiring has been shockingly one sided. If drs wasn't around it could have been really messy. Let's not forget they also failed to spot a no ball when Bangladesh had too many fielders outside the ring.

Talking to some Bangladeshi friends earlier, it seems umpire Tanvir is infamous in local cricket and has upset Shakib on more than one occasion. So how did he get promoted to International level?

He's very loud and clear on the walkie talkie, has never pressed the wrong button when acting as a third umpire and is the first one to reach the ground on match day. Can't judge an umpire until you know the full picture Beamer.

Issue might be resolved very soon. Channel 7 news plugged this in a segment just tonight

Peter George is the brains behind it

Edit-btw how do you get a YouTube video embedded into a post?
