Not sure that deserved a 10 sec pen, and basically gifted Lando the win.

Yeah, I am not sure why he braked so hard there, but then Max said that it has happened to him multiple times before this with no penalty, so maybe he was unlucky.
It did look quite bad though. Was he trying to slow Max's momentum with the pace car not quite off the track?

He timed the pit strategy and tyre choice to perfection, even earning the ire of Alonso. But he fell backwards like a stone.

Yeah he had a good race, but was a bit lucky. Overall pace was never there, its almost never anywhere near Alonso’s. As we can see, Alonso ended up pretty close to him in the end after he’d been running with Hulk before the final stop.

10 sec penalties have been given for when Max crashed into Russell type situations. This was far from that

He should be elevated to 1st and given a medal IMO.

Like they said in the broadcast, the penalty guidelines have even been made public now. For what Piastri did, the minimum penalty time is 10s. Couldn’t have given 5.

Was so cringe watching one of the post race interviews. Clearly said no I don’t wanna talk about it and the chick kept pushing him. Good thing he’s so relatively calm compared to most people.
First time we’ve ever seen his calm aura really crack though. At least it was over a penalty, still utterly calm and confident in racing condition.
Speaking of post-race interviews, is Lando getting a fine for saying he was “trying not to **** it up” in the post-race interview? Or did they change that?

It could be that Horner was sacked in a bid to keep Max in the seat. Or perhaps he has already told them he's leaving and Horner was sacked for it
