I had difficulties with Group 6. Post war, Bedser carried the England new ball attack until the arrival of Trueman and Statham hence I rank him highly.

Group 5 to me is harder than it seems (but then again I'm not so impressed by neither Lindwall nor Davidson, due to the team results of Australia in the 1950s)

29 wins, 16 draws, 12 losses is somehow bad?

Speaking of other players, for those who voted for Roberts over Davidson, how do you justify this when they have fairly similar five-fors etc and the gap between their averages is as large as the gap between, say, Roberts and Siddle?

Yeah, look, I'm a Lol fanboy. Took his fc wickets (over 1400 of them) at ~17.5 and anyone's test average is going to suffer bowling to peak Bradman for the majority of it.

Unashamedly a Waqarophile too. Most thrilling bowler it's been my pleasure to see in 35+ years of watching the sport. His late swinging yorker a thing of brutal balletic grace.

His career can be divided into pre and post injury phases too. If the great man hadn't had the ticker to come back when his powers had been reduced to merely very, very good I think he'd be at the zenith.

I see no good reason to change the order of these for my vote.

And that wraps up 5 and 6.
