English Domestic Season 2024

Yeoman

U19 Vice-Captain
To lose one wicket keeper may be regarded as misfortune, to lose two looks like carelessness, but three…?

Do Yorkshire still have Dom Bess on their books? Going to be interesting to see which of Bess and Moriarty gets a go in the Championship if so.

Yes, though they sent him out on loan a couple of times last season which suggests that he will not be first choice next year.

Crossover might be limited however Rugby League’s Super League fixtures are oddly also being released on Thursday.

Have your say on all things cricket and the 16.4.

Orr's departure has led to some discontent with Farbrace's running of things at Sussex

I didn't realise Delray Rawlins left too. Would be a handy Blast pickup.
I don't think Rawlins will be missed, his form had got so bad he couldn't even get into the Blast Team anymore. Whether that form was down to the set up remains to be seen, a great talent but never got close to maximising the potential.

But Orr's departure is very sad, he's as talented as Haines (perhaps even more so) and could easily become an International player.

Haseeb Hameed replaces Steven Mulalley as Nottinghamshire captain next season in all formats.

All formats? He's played two T20 games over a 9 year professional career since his 2015 first class debut. Both in 2023.
It does seem strange, but he's been showing better run scoring ability in limited over formats lately and they clearly have faith in his ability to perform. Personally, I hope the captaincy is the making of him.

Think Durham and Essex will be our (Surrey) main competition next year and they are also our final two games. Could be a fun run in.
