The guys 30 right now, I'd love to get 7 years from him but the final 2 could be a bit Tayloresque.
i have never seen a poster go from as good as you were to as bad as you areOh I'd say NZC did give away four of Devon's 50 Tests to Will Young (then Blundell).
That was for some 'oh we'd always put empathy and cultural fit over pure merit down here. Look at all the troubles the toxic masculinity and lust for dominance and status have been creating in the rest of the world, aren't we just as snug as a bug in a rug #nzhellhole' reason.
Young didn't deserve to become an old man with no Test caps to his name, of course. Foiled by a terrorist attack, then a major shoulder surgery. But it was really something that only all of New Zealand's Scottie Stevenson know-nothings, and all its anti-Christian wounded Tori Amos girls, would have felt was appropriate selecting.
his technique is better than taylors for negating a lost eye, though when his eye goes he's going to nick loads of those drives imo. he's a little in front of himself and timing reliant on them. The guys 30 right now, I'd love to get 7 years from him but the final 2 could be a bit Tayloresque.
Don't post your *** lifeGetting a bit ahead of ourselves here but love the enthusiasm
Yeah he screams out #4 to me. Or maybe he can bat 3 and Kane can bat 4. I think he can be and probably is as good as Hussey which is awesome. But need to give the guy some time.too early to say how good he is. when he got hit by mark wood i tried to remember if highly edited kippax propaganda videos showed him play against wagner or ferguson at all after nzfan mentioned conway usually compulsively attacks the short stuff, which no one said until now.
he's good enough to dominate at home and obviously was a class above at lords. we tour the subcontinent a fair bit so his play against real spin will be crucial to how he's remembered, and he'll get one go tops at SA or Aus so if he can have a Kane 2015 tour then that would be special.
if he opens for his career he ain't averaging 50. very, very few openers do. 48 tops if he opens. if he inherits #4 though...yea have fun with that bowlers touring to nz after new year not called australia.
you know that in 18 months conway will open and young opener ravindra will bat #4 and it will be triggering afYeah he's a straight swap with Ross right after the WTC.
It's probably not tempting at allIt must be damn tempting to retire mid-test and maintain the highest average of all time.
Do you put Fleming AHEAD of Taylor? Or was it a typo and you meant to write Crowe? What would Conway need to achieve in his 50 test career (assuming he plays till 37ish) to reach the Roscoe tier of NZ atg's? Doubt heyll get to the Fleming/Kanos tier in that time, though a double in England on debut surely won't hurt.
what makes it better?like cricinfo but 1000x better
Scorecards are better and easier to read, archive is easier to navigate, it covers more games as wellwhat makes it better?
Cricinfo site has been pretty **** for years but statsguru is still very useful and the first place i run to when some numpty comes up with a stupid claim
It has become progressively more and more out of date though, as I noted earlier in this thread. I thought paywalling it might fix that but if anything it has become a lot worse since then. I don't recommend getting a subscription unless your main uses for it would be old scorecards.Scorecards are better and easier to read, archive is easier to navigate, it covers more games as well
If I scored a double ton on test debut I'd do it tbhIt's probably not tempting at all
Same, but that's because I know I would never do it againIf I scored a double ton on test debut I'd do it tbh
