CRICKET WEB GREEN 219 46.4 overs
CRICKET WEB RED 214 47.3 overs

Cricket Web Green won by 5 runs

Man of the match: Delkap

Daily Blast Comment: A nail-biting finish due largely to the heroics of Delkap. Cricket Web Red looked to have the game well in hand at 94/0, but wickets tumbled in the middle order and ultimately Mr. Wright was the only man into double figures from #3 downward. CW Red will be disappointed by the loss, but CW Green has far more to be happy about as they showed guts and fight to win it.

CW BLACK 205 47.0 overs
AUSTRALIA 'A' 207/3 32.0 overs

Australia 'A' won by 7 wickets

Man of the match: Mike Hussey

Daily Blast Comment: Surely the most unprofessional effort by the Blacks all season long. Batting first on as flat a track as you can hope for at the WACA, a series of careless and useless strokes succeeded in an eventual total of 205, due largely some lower order fight. The bowlers did their utmost, but it was too small a target to defend and Hussey, Clarke and Maher sped the game to completion.

ENGLAND 'A' 177 39.3 overs
CRICKET WEB BLUE 179/7 45.1 overs

Cricket Web Blue won by 3 wickets

Man of the match: Bluefox

Daily Blast Comment: Another very crucial and mature innings from former Blue captain PY to help the Blues to a good victory in this one. Set up by a great performance of spin, CW Blue almost made a hash of chasing a small total. Alas Dylan Jellett and Young knocked in nicely and Bluefox came around to seal the deal at the end.

After not batting out the 50 overs, and them being 1/102 after 20 overs thats a hell of a win. Brilliant bowling by all but particularly Delkap whos 5 key wickets turned the game for us, inspiring stuff. Lets keep this going and have a huge finish to the season :D:D:D

That's poor at best, people. Time for you to stand up and be counted - places on the line once we get back from CWXI duty.

that effort was ****en disgraceful guys. absolutley pittiful. we need to stop thinking about the trophies at the end of the season cos at current form we arnt gonna win them

I know my batting almost got us there, but my bowling really let us down, 1 wicket for 52 runs is just not good enough, another maiden in there and we have won the game. Sorry guys.

I thought our batsman had learnt their lesson, it appears not, although it appears we are not dropping as many catches, if we can get everything together we are a tough team to beat. Come on Reds.

Blacks we swhould have put up more than a fight there. Our batting was poor (myself included) but really look at our econ rates for bowling 6.83, 6.00, 6.14, 7.20, 6.50, 5.40. So we gotta improve in all areas not just getting the runs on the board.

I didn't. My name may be in the XI listing (couldn't bothered to check), but that can be attributed to lazy copy/pasting.
yeh ur right sorry, didnt bother to look at the scorecard till now...

What can I say guys?

We pride ourselves on being fighters, but today's performance was an utter joke. We really have to pull our socks up, and quickly too, because we're having our depth severly tested at the moment.

The young players really need to step up and deliver, because once guys like Neil Pickup, Eclipse, Ash Chaulk and Rich2001 come back into the side, there might not be a place for the young guys.

Take the opportunity with both hands and lets make the senior players fight hard for their respective places in the side.

Not very happy today. One of the darkest days in my captaincy stint no doubt about it.

Well done boys, we're on fire in all forms of the game.

Just a note though...

Myself and Langeveldt were named in the 11-man side, but didn't actually play. Must be an error in naming the team. Doesn't matter though. What matters is the we WON :)
