Cricket Web Green 2nd Innings 420 all out
Cricket Web Blue 2nd Innings 211 all out
Cricket Web Green won by 153 runs.

Daily Blast Comment: One catch may have turned this match Green's way. When Toogood put down an out-of-form Cloete on 2 in the 2nd innings, an ominous feeling came about. The Blues surely feared the worst and got it. 164 chanceless runs later and CW Green was in control. The Blues collapsed early in their chase of 365, but some counterattacking batting by Young and Jellett gave some hope entering the final day. Alas, the Green spinners webbed up the lower order and a huge win for their team.

England 'A' won by 8 wkts.

Daily Blast Comment: Failures to sieze the moment cost the Reds dearly in the end. A long batting lineup could not capitalize on a strong position set up by Marc71178 and Markus. Indeed, those two also failed to capitalize on great starts. The fielders missed opportunities at key stages and the bowlers too could not force the initiative at those moments. The 2nd innings then mirrored the first, with another good start and another collapse. Very disappointing loss for Red, because they were never truly outplayed.

Great effort guys...well played:D Superb win...

My career seems to be ever-flopping downhill...the main points of my career seem to be as follows:

1/ Play very well in Dev cricket for season or two
2/ Get selected for CW XI and remain for 2-3 series.
3/ Get dropped from CW XI
4/ Play well at CW Red
5/ Move to CW Black
6/ Play below average for CW Black
7/ Dropped from Dev cricket:(

That just about sums up my career;)
Don't worry Mr P, your a fine bowler and a real matchwinner on your day. Keep working hard, and you'll be back in Black and back in the CW XI in no time at all.

Your too good a player to keep down for too long.

I think that's three 50's in a row for Majin, great form. :) Brilliant stuff from Cloete, and good batting all round with more 50's from Jamee and Age. Solid 39 from Delkap down the order, too! I can't find many faults in that game, actually... good bowling to Rose, Timewell, Hoy, Majin, with wickets to the name of Lo'D and Delkap too. Certainly can't complain! Great stuff. :D

That just wasnt good enough Reds.

We lacked the pressure in our bowling, and let them slip to 446 all out. The batting was solid, but not what you expect especially when on paper the team can bat comfortably down to 10.

Personally I was hugely dissapointed at my lack of penertration, with 2 wickets for the match. Disgracefull effort there when I was needed to step up in the absense of DK and Wrighty.

Sam, grab your kit, we're off to the nets.

Great win guys!

Grand Master Cloete's swashbuckling 150 in the second innings gave us a hell of alot of runs to defend.

All in all it was a great win and hopefully we can carry this form through into our next game.

Needless to say, the CWBCC is glad to see Cloete finding dominant runs (albeit after a dropped catch early on) as he's going to be needed for sure as the CW XI tries to avoid its first ever whitewash in Test cricket.

I'm glad to see 32 runs in 4 knocks is enough to retain a spot 8-)

Great Win guys, fantastic attacking cricket which is always good to see.

First innings wasn't great but we got enough runs to keep us in the game, mainly thanks to Marjin's unbeaten 60.

Blue went past us on first innings but were well restrained. Rose and Hoy the pick.

Cloete than stole the show with an absolutley brilliant knock of 166 off just 205 balls. well supportedd by a very solid half century from Jamee. I was also pretty happy with 91, managing to keep my SR slightly above Cloete's for the innings :p

Timewell than ripped through the top order placing them in alot of trouble before Marjin finished them off :)

another great Green comefrombehind win :)

Congratulations to Majin...he's playing brilliantly at the moment. Sorry I got out in that last wicket partnership...but...well done to you! Don't let this get to your head though! :D

My bowling has been too inconsistent for my liking 1 wicket one innings, 4 the next...3 in one, 1 the next...need to be doing 3/4 in EVERY innings in my opinion. But you win some you lose some!

COME ON THE GREENS! We're playing REALLY well at the moment...let's keep it up and we may get a respectable position in the league

You'd think that from someone who is so in control of team selections, I would have gotten word of the team XI by now. If you have a problem with the selections, select your team. Heaven knows I'm not meddling in that again.

Seeing as you are sole executor of CW Red matters, isn't it your responsibility to inquire as to availability of your players rather than mine to inform you of it first?

As another CW cricketer said on the issue, "Damned if I do, damned if I don't". 8-)
