Cricket Web Decides the Most Elegant Number 11 Batsman

This thread reminded me of Asif playing an exquisite cover drive against South Africa in the 2006 tour. I was glued to the TV because Inzamam was doing his trademark "batting forever with the tail" routine and then Asif hits a shot reminiscent of Vaughan out of nowhere.

Didn't rate him as a bowler, but Luke Feldman was a pretty damn good bat for someone who spent a lot of their career at 11. Queensland have generally tended to produce tails that can bat decently over the last few years

Except for when Stanlake is playing of course

Love Boult's batting.

As far as actual batting capability goes, I guess it'd be Anderson out of the top teams in world cricket right now.

James Pattinson was a pretty elegant number 11 the one time he tried it (making 25* after being demoted when Agar made his 98 on debut)

Murali lol

There was a time when Kyle Mills batted 11 wasn't there? Early to mid 2000s in ODIs?

NZ would have had some very high quality no. 11s in the 90s/00s

It's important to keep in mind with this thread not to just name all the good-at-batting no. 11s and focus on the genuinely stylish ones

That's why Ashton Agar was such a good call. He'd be stylish even for a specialist batsman.
