Well for #7-11, one has to think ahead inorder to see what is most important.
There are five available slots - they should all go to people who gathered their reputation with their bowling, simply because a formidable ODI side needs atleast five bona-fide bowlers and with the kind of batting at the top order, their batting skills take a backseat to their bowling ones.
As such, Klusener, who IMO would make it to any ODI side, misses out here - he was a formidable lower order batsman and a decent bowler but we need someone who was a formidable bowler and a decent batsman.
Of the bowling slots, I consider Garner,Akram and Murali to be locked and out of them, Akram could pack a mighty wallop every now and then. With Akram most likely down at #8, #7's batting importance is lessened a bit...which makes Kapil a perfect fit for the position.
