Could Asif have been one of Pakistan's ATG?

Asif at 32 would be even slower than he is now, plus he would have to gain the trust/take wickets in the domestic circuit. He would have to take so many wickets that it would be a greater crime to leave him out than the crime he did. So it's a hard prospect. Plus I heard he was auditioning for all sorts of dramas/Bollywood films, seems like his passion for cricket has died out.

But the question still remains, with nearly a decade of cricket under his belt (or would have been), would he have been able to be matching the likes of Wasim, Waqar, even Akhtar?
