Bowlers who looked innocuous, but were actually effective!

Line and Length

Cricketer Of The Year
All-rounder Ian Brayshaw looked fairly innocuous but his 10 for 44 against Victoria in 1967 was more than effective with his victims including Lawry, Redpath, Cowper and Stackpole. Others bowling in that innings included Graham Mackenzie and Tony Lock.

Nathan Astle.
150 international wickets
Remember a series late in Astle's career against South Africa, where the commentators mentioned that he was like a bowling machine, just landing his loopy outswingers on a handkerchief on the line of off-stump ball after ball. Not a huge threat if you can take your time, but if you're looking to accelerate the scoring it was a real pain in the arse to deal with.
