Bond Update

Kippax

Cricketer Of The Year
Kippax said:
"He is now eyeing one-day matches in Zimbabwe and South Africa next August and September as an international comeback with a return to Test cricket ruled out until New Zealand's next home season begins in December."
Now the Sydney Morning Herald says -

"Set to make a domestic first-class return next week, Bond has been on a steady trek back to the international arena which won't be complete until this winter at the earliest...

...Bond doesn't believe he will have the fitness to compete during next month's three-Test series and is targeting the July-August tour of Africa for a Test return."

So if the SMH is right about Bond's SC comeback "next week", I guess the only bad news is I won't be able to wander down to the Basin to see him (and perhaps Sherlock?) in action.

Canterbury's outright win against ND lifted them from last place into the top 3. Wellington's in second place, and both provinces will now start playing the bottom three sides.

The Cantabs schedule:
v ND, March 4-7
v, CD, 11-14
v Otago, 19-22
