Cricket Spectator
Hello - something you may be interested in. London Borough of Southwark is conducting a public opinion poll about erecting blue plaques for famous residents past and present. Bobby Abel the great Surrey and England bat was born in Bermondsey and learned his cricket in Southwark Park. Bobby was known affectionately as The Guv'nor and played tests against Australia and South Africa. During and after his career he was a supporter of local charitable causes. A vote can be cast for free on www.southwark.gov.uk - it would be great to have his achievements recognised.

Yours in cricket
