McMillan and Wasim Raja are ineligible on a strict count of innings batting 7-11/1-6 in Tests.

Joe Solomon is another specialist bat who quite often batted at 7 (though not in the majority of his innings).

In terms of most runs scored from number 7 and below:

Kapil Dev
Mark Boucher
Adam Gilchrist
Ian Healey
Daniel Vettori
Shaun Pollock
Alan Knott
MS Dhoni
Matt Prior
Stuart Broad
Rod Marsh
Shane Warne
Brad Haddin
Richard Hadlee
Chaminda Vaas
Wasim Akram
Imran Khan
Chris Cairns
Phil Dujon
Syed Kirmani

To top 10 batting averages for at least 2000 runs or more at 7 are:

Gilchrist, Prior, Sarfraz Ahmed, McCullum, Cairns, Haddin, Knott, Dhoni, Dujon, Pollock

Did not expect Alan Knott to have both more runs and a higher average than MSD batting 7 or below.

Saying "once again" and repeating your wrong statement doesn't make it any less wrong. The OP has been pretty clear what was intended by "non-batsman" and Gilly definitely qualifies. If you want to talk about batting at 8 or lower or whatever you're on about then you can make your own thread.
Just because the OP puts out a definition of a "non - batsman" (obviously flawed), Gilchrist automatically will not become a non batsman.

If I remember rightly, there is a huge discrepancy in Dhoni's batting averages at #6 and #7. He made Andy Zaltzman's "Curiously Disappointing in a Specific Batting Position XI" a while back.

Gilchrist is a batsman if it shuts you up. Now shut up ffs.
