McCullum wicket was bad. I know it's his game but Starc was bowling ATG levels and even from the first few balls that over it was clear that Baz was struggling to even see the ball, yet he still tried to smack a big quick inswinger. Guptill was even worse, missing a Glenn Maxwell short-of-a-length straight-break. Nerves all round that game.
Understandable that NZ didn't really have much of an idea about playing well on the biggest stage.

In Rugby World Cups we (NZ) have lost 6 games and I remember all of them (1991 semi v Aus- we were too old and Campese had a blunder; 1995 final v SA - food poisoned and lost after extra time; 1999 semi vs France- choked after their great comeback and 3/4th vs SA; 2003 semi v Aus - intercept pass!; 2007 quarterfinal v France - atrocious refereeing.
