Brayshaw clearly writes his own wikipedia page. This is the entirety of the description of his cricket career on Wiki and I found the effort that went into convincing lay people that he was a great player who could hang with the best international players pretty hilarious.

Playing for South Australia and Western Australia, Brayshaw had a career spanning almost a decade.[2] In that time he was a consistent fielder, with 43 catches. Not only is he a two-time Sheffield Shield winner, this achievement was completed with two states and occurred on the teams' respective home grounds. In the 1987/1988 final, Brayshaw won with Western Australia at the WACA Ground and in the 1995/1996 final he won with South Australia at the Adelaide Oval. He would continue to play domestic cricket for one more season, before retiring at 30 years of age.

Playing in the 1995/1996 Sheffield Shield final (South Australia v Western Australia) at the Adelaide Oval, Brayshaw performed solidly with the bat, scoring 87 (run out) in the first innings and 66 (caught and bowled off Brad Hogg) in the second innings. Both teams fielded high quality players who have represented Australia at various levels. Some would go on to coach at state and national levels.[3] West Australia fielded players including Michael Hussey, Justin Langer, Tom Moody, Damien Martyn, Adam Gilchrist, Jo Angel, Brad Hogg and Brendon Julian. While South Australia fielded players including Greg Blewett, Darren Lehmann, Tim Neilsen, Tim May and Jason Gillespie. The match ended in a draw, with a respectable performance from Adam Gilchrist 189 (not out) in the first innings,[4] and as a consequence James and his South Australian teammates were the 1995/1996 Sheffield Shield premiers.[5]

Brayshaw also played in the 1987/1988 Sheffield Shield win for West Australia, but his performance with the bat was less successful. Scoring 24 off 104 balls (first innings) and 4 off 8 balls (second innings) and having the rare achievement of being caught by two international test captains, with Allan Border in the first innings and Ian Botham in the second innings[6]

Well tbf he called for Ponting to be in the test side from when he was about 16 and said he'd be a better player than Doug Walters, so I wouldn't necessarily rule Green out yet.

Is there any truth to the news Ryan Gibson played his first game of Premier Cricket in Adelaide and made a double ton in a losing side?

Good player Gibbo. Very consistent in grade cricket for years and years, just never really kicked on to do enough to cement a Shield spot

I remember thinking he looked quite good for the Greg Chappell Invitational XI a few years back fwiw

Scored a ton. He got shield games as a direct result but I think he was at 7. Didn't do much and then fall behind others

That reminds me of the weird time he was picked for a Shield game and they didn't bowl him, even though Bosisto bowled ten overs. I wouldn't have thought he'd have been particularly close to selection as a specialist bat either, and he batted seven. Totally weird.

It remains his only Shield game to date. It'll be a weird story to tell the grandkids if he never plays another one.

Yeah that was seriously strange. I rate Drew as a handy cricketer but there is no way he ever should have been picked on batting alone. SACAs gonna SACA I guess.

Speaking of Bosisto though, he's back in the squad for the next round, as is Worrall after geting through his grade game without issue. Unfortunately though Weatherald has made himself unavailable citing mental health reasons, shame that but my main hope is for his own state of mind.

Also, heard on good account that Tom Pinson has been impressive doing more training with the senior squad, wouldn't be surprised to see him be considered at some point this season

Excited to see how he goes with the ball, both of his 5fers are against tas so he obviously favours there lineup.
