Is this some sort of protest? Were Tas expecting that nsw would declare at 0 so pissed off they scored another 22 runs...or is Tas feeling the Paine 'dont win at all costs' effect? 14 runs off last 10 overs is rediculous

Tasmania are clearly not prepared to lose to win.

TBF I can see why they might not be willing to play ball here from a selfish perspective compared to NSW who have only something to gain by them engaging in a chase.

Thank God that game is over. Can't believe Bailey is such a bad captain that declares to chase and then has his batsmen score at SR 20-30 ...bizarre

They got close enough too that it just makes you ask what the ****.

The idea had to have been to just treat it as a day-long net session.

I'd like to hear from Tassie just what their plan was. If all they wanted was time in the middle then why declare their first innings half way through?

Somerville now part of the NZ test squad.

NSW did the world a disservice holding him back for so long.

Can't blame him for leaving considering Jon Holland was being picked ahead of him. Robbed of his baggy green.

After 3 rounds of shield cricket Copeland is the 4th highest averaging batsman, and the second highest to have played in all three matches.

12 batsmen average 50 or more, 3 average 100 or more.

One batsman (Cooper) had hit two centuries (Average 68).

Scott Boland is the highest wicket taker with 24 wickets at an average of 13.

6 bowlers have taken 12 (4 wpm) or more wickets so far. If those, Tremain is the only one to average over 20 (21.17).

3 bowlers have 2 5fers - Boland, Tremain and Bird. Bird has the only 10fer so far.

Gotch is the leading wicket keeper with 16 dismissals so far, ahead of the next best Peirson who has 10.

Larkin had taken the most catches for a non-keeper with 5 so far this season.

Saw this tweet from Ric Finlay

First 3 rounds of SS, 2017-18: 8006 runs @ 26.79 runs/wicket, 54.24 runs/100 balls, 10 centuries.
First 3 rounds, 2018-19: 8153 runs @ 30.65 runs/wicket, 51.07 runs/100 balls, 13 centuries.

So 13 to answer your question.

In to see the guy who couldn't get a game for his Shield team turn out to be a better International bowler for another country than our own are for us

Sangha (0) and Edward's (8) come back to earth in grade after their shield centuries. Meanwhile Bertus got 85 opening...could this be the time to replace Larkin?
