Couldn't agree more @MeerGoose11 a great opportunity for @EmiratesCricket & emerging nations' players alike (taking up six of the 16 squad spots between them). More balanced than @GT20Canada's first year and at some of the most consistent global venues. Can't wait! (& good luck!)Tim Cutler added,

This looks a great spread of international players. The tournaments player structure really gives developing cricketers outside the FM nations a real chance to shine. Well done @UAET20X in creating something that will become a leader in T20 competitions in time

What do you mean I forgot Brad Green? He sounds made up. Also my point was that WA have a stack of bowling options only.

Still issues with the finger? IIRC he was playing lower level cricket towards the end of last summer and into March but never seemed to come into the frame..

Anyway I had a feeling Inglis may have started an under-the-radar takeover of the gloves last summer, did really well for himself with the gloves and bat. Should be incumbent for the Warriors in both formats unless he goes pants-up.

Cameron Green batted at 5/6 in Futures and the Australian Under 19 side, could not bowl averaged 40 in Under 19's.

Surprised no-one in this thread is talking about Cameron Green. Genuine #11, that kid. Could break Chris Martin's records.

Surely they'd play an extra batsman? Maybe they just don't have any I dunno but 5 (or 4) specialist bowlers and 4 (or 5) all-rounders is a bit of overkill surely

I will be interested to see how Green bowls, was impressed with him on Shield debut, hit good lengths and got a bit of extra bounce and seam movement. Would guess he was about 130ish then, but has the potential to put on an extra yard as he develops.

I would almost argue that guys like Cartwright and Turner could be chosen over Wells on batting alone
I think pretty much all people would argue this. They'd probably leave a bowler out before they left out one of those guys. The amount of batting allrounders they have surely means they don't have to go with Inglis at 6 and Green at 7.

They definitely would, they are better batsmen, but they're not the ones who are going to be left out for Wells, that would be one of the 5 unnecessary specialist bowlers

Presumably Green. Maybe even another one as well. Btw I'm not convinced that this Green guy is quite as good a batsman as some of you think he is. Scoring runs at under-19 level and a few starts in the Futures league isn't exactly a sign that he's a top 6 bat.
