Yeah. "Medical condition rules out young Victorian" is much better than "Pukovski not to play next shield match due to fatigue".

Honestly the way it was worded it sounded like he failed a beep test and was ruled out due to that.

That's still different to the presser, though. The medical staff have ruled him out, prima facie, because he's shagged, his injury history, etc. 'Ruled out due to a medical condition' communicates something entirely different.

In one case, it's because there's a risk of a problem. In the other, there is a problem. If the latter, Pukovski is well within his rights to veto any publicity.

This article makes more sense

But Cricket Victoria officials revealed he began struggling almost as soon as his innings ended, and he didn’t field on the fourth day as the Vics romped to a big win.

Pucovski has been extremely tired ever since and while tests have ruled out glandular fever his history of concussion issues has prompted medical staff to be extremely cautious with the young star.

“He just doesn’t feel well and hasn’t recovered from the knock in WA as we would have liked,” CV general manager Shaun Graf* told the Herald Sun.

Jeez we had some shockers

Cooper dropped to make way for Head, then brought back because Ferg's injured.

Can't think of a player who's been luckier with reprieves than Coops. Been essentially on the edge of oblivion for years now, hanging on by the skin of his teeth. Has a lean run, about to get dropped, Australian call-up or injury means he either just stays in or gets recalled, scores runs, makes the spot his own again, rinse and repeat. Happened again, dropped, but an injury has him back in. Watch him ton up now.

NSW doing the NSW thing an omitting Sabba for Edwards, despite the former's good start to eh year and impressive bowling in Adelaide.

Afaik he isn't injured.

It seems that unfortunately the memo that was supposed to go to the batting group informing them of spots being up for grabs had instead gone to the bowling group, for whom there are no spots available.

Since our bowlers appear to know how to play cricket maybe we should try turning a few of our surplus ones into batsmen. Maybe go to Patto and say look you're made out of glass but we noticed you can bat. How about one more break down you give it up and see if you can comeback as a batsman?

Queensland starting where they left off last match. This is a collapse worthy of the national side.

If only we could go back a decade or two and grab Hodge, Dussey, Law, Love, di Venuto and Bevan.
