The 1920's was a decade of 2 halves, Australia holding the ashes until 1926 when it shifted over to England. There were many fine individual performance, most notable Sutcliffe and Tates' heroics from 1926, and Hammonds' epic of 1928/29. For me however the most significant series was the one in which a side won 5-0 for the first time.

For round 8 we have the 1920/21 ashes

Well there's 12 of us for starters. Plus I made a stuff up and gave you 2 starts (round 3 and 6).

The downside of randomised draft orders is that someone is almost certainly going to be treated unfairly. Not sure what to do about it tbh.

Maybe have a 12th round and work out who has been treated the worst so far and they get to go fast.

So just say I've gone 8th, 7th, 9th, 4th = 28 points, while Shri has gone 1st, 10th, 7th, 4th = 22 points, I would go before him in the final round. Just a suggestion, doesn't bother me too much unless someone was always going first..

I'll pick in a minute.

Probably a risky selection, but I just have some reservations as to how useful a couple of the other players I was looking at selecting would be for my team.

I'm going to go for Charles Macartney who always did well against England.

2 Arthur Morris
3 Eddie Paynter
4 Charles Macartney
5 Peter May
6 Ross Edwards

That wouldn't work, after an even number of rounds all the scores would be the same, as we've been reversing the order each time, scoring 13 points every two rounds.

Just pick a few players who've been consistently near the middle to go at the extremes in the later rounds. It'll be more or less even in the end.

Just keep it random I guess.

Personally like the concept used in the Random Player Draft by Michael. Gives everyone an equal chance to be both first and last. However its too late for that in this case and its best to keep it random.

Yeah good point, I didn't actually realize, I thought it had been completely random the whole time.

I like it too. I'll probably use it in my next draft
