Ascending batting average draft (tests)

Red

The normal awards that everyone else has
Graeme Pollock (60.97)
-----------------------------------

S Gavaskar
G Gambhir
M Waugh
G Pollock
M Hussey
A Flintoff (5)
J Dujon (w)
A Kumble (c)
A Roberts
N Wagner
J Garner

Turned out okay.
I reckon in a real life scenario you'd bat Hussey at 3 and Junior at 5.

Slightly concerned about who I'm gonna end up with here!

Pollock seemed to like 4. So did Junior.

So did Huss fwiw. Hussey could bat anywhere from 1-6 in reality. Prior to him coming into the test team he was an opener for WA. He'd have the game for 3.

Ataraxia has timed out. I'll wait for some more time before making my pick because last pick is important for everyone.

Can't contain my anxiety any longer. George Headley (60.83)

Final XI:

Bill Ponsford
Conrad Hunte
Ricky Ponting (c)
George Headley
Doug Walters
Shakib Al Hasan [5]
Imtiaz Ahmed +
Richard Hadlee [1]
Jack Cowie [3]
Stuart MacGill [4]
Courtney Walsh [2]

Batting could have been better. I got caught in between with the batsmen, neither aggressive nor conservative. The bowling is quite good with 5 test class bowling options. Batting depth is fairly good too with a test double centurion at #7 and Hadlee at #8.

Players that were not taken ultimately and those I could have taken without spoiling my plans in hindsight:

Colin Croft instead of Jack Cowie
Michael Clarke instead of Doug Walters

Teuton

International Captain
Herbert Sutcliffe (60.73)

I had a few nervous moments that all the great openers would be taken before my go but happy with Sutcliffe.
