The first guy, your batsman, I'd say was a good buy, around £200K cheaper than Greening, although thinking about it, there probably was the best part of a batting level difference between them, but all the same, not bad at all.
The Indian guy who's link you posted also has a lot of potential, but man he needs some work. If the first bloke is taking up four nets, the second will swallow the remaining six on his own - That is if you want to make him a passable all-rounder.
But there is still value in him up to about quarter of a mill I'd say. Even if you just consider him as a specialist bowler - taking the gloomiest possible view of things - His wage is about £1100, say his Feeb batting is contributing £50 to his wage, the Resp Conc, Scaly's the best man to ask about that, but I'd hazzard a guess it's £200/£250, you're looking at a middle/high Resp bowler.
If you've got room then there's definitely equity in him - In so far as in 12/13 weeks you could flog him as a 17yo Comp/Strong allrounder. Admittedly he'd be bottom in both, and he'd still have no secondaries to write home about, but with those kind'a primaries there's still more than enough people who'd pay getting on for a mill for him. But if you're looking for an actual training prospect to play in your team for a long time, then I'd keep an eye out for a 17yo highish Comp, (say with wages of £500-plus), who has at least Med Stam and Cons. You'll end up with roughly the same player on the same number of nets, but you'll probably save yourself upwards of £100K in the process.
Mind you, I wouldn't listen too much to me, as what I seem to think is a decent price for a player appears to differ wildly with the opinion of the market!
