Wow! 5 wickets in two overs! What are his stats like

Edit: By the way, can anyone else not get onto Battrick?
Not great, that's why I was surprised. I was seriously on the rocks before that burst too!

Won my game but wasn't a walkover. They were on 224/3 chasing 340 at one stage!

Just bought this guy for 11,000. Backup keeper and should have a few training sessions this season to use on him.

My team's currently at 103-1off 22 overs in our friendly. I put some of my fringe players and prospects in to see how they'd do. Not bad I'd say. Chorley's on 44 Settle's on 6. Draper was the last man out for 48.

I challenged 'The Ball Grabbers' to a friendly, and they're batting first. They've been batting 16 overs, and are 97 - 6. Yee haw.

Mansell is bowling now. He's bowled 1 over for 1 run so far, so it's a big improvement. Lodge has once more bowled well, and has got 3-1-2-2, and is bowling now.

Holy ****, I only just tuned into the match, and I just looked back onto the commentary, and saw something rather extraordinairy;

Code:
End of Over 7: 57-3, runrate=8.14
Carmody	4-0-33-3
Renner*	18 (22 balls)
Whibread	4 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Bevan b. Carmody 0 (FOW: 53/3)

6.6 .	Carmody to Whibread
Short ball, he tries to hook but misses. Dot ball.
6.5 4	Carmody to Whibread
Shot, what a shot! Any youngsters out there that want to learn how to play a shot like that, just study the one that's just gone.
6.4 W	Carmody to Bevan
The batsmen mistimes his shot and bottom edges onto the stumps. That was the equivalent of a gimmie to the fielding side.
6.3 W	Carmody to De beer
A thin nick and taken behind by Tolley. There was no need for De beer to go chasing that!
6.2 W	Carmody to Wellens
'What's that noise?' thinks Wellens...'Its the death rattle my lad, off you go' replies the umpire as the wicket keeper goes off to fetch the bails.
6.1 2	Carmody to Wellens
Ashton uses his head to stop a sure boundary, great save, but they'll have to check him for concussion after the match.

End of Over 6: 51-0, runrate=8.50
Eagles	3-0-22-0
Wellens*	31 (14 balls)
Renner	18 (22 balls)
Quite a turnaround.

Hamshaw 3-0-9-0
Gayle* 7 (23 balls)
Forbes 23 (47 balls)

Interesting. Holmes bowled 7 overs taking 1/12. But this batsmen so far have proved very determined. Interesting times...

I think the Mansell that played in my last game ran off, and was replaced by another Mansell. He's currently sitting on figures of 3 - 1 - 2 - 1 - he just dismissed tha dangerous Renner, who was on 37 off 58.

18 overs gone, 7/101.

Won my friendly in the end.

Boulevard Bombers 343-3
Wellens 118*, Settle 106, Draper 48, Chorley 46

Palms Cricket Club 266 ao
Gilkes 72, Nedd 53, Groves 4-51, Weekes 3-47

Unfortunately, Mofokeng did badly with 0-77 off 9 overs.

The Ball Grabbers misery has ended; they've been bowled out by me for 130.

Lodge bowled well, getting 7-2-6-3, Mansell bowled well to get 10-2-12-2, Wilkes got 5-3-8-1, and Carmody was expensive but got the crucial hat trick to get us into the game, finishing with 7-0-51-3.

I should win this one. Fingers crossed :) .

Guys, is it better to bat or bowl first on a greeen pitch? Or does it make no difference?

I doubt it makes a difference, but I always bowl first on them. In theory the pitch should get easier to play on and I hardly ever see a team not chase down a small total. Also if you thrash someone you get a much smaller individual fitness hit bowling first and getting them all out for a small total - as opposed to batting the full 50 first.

Damn, Ashton gone for 36 off 41. It's his first ever match where he hasn't scored 50. Flahaven has come in and has already smashed 10 runs. 71 - 1 off twelve, 60 runs to win.

Just a question does Stamina affect keeping?
Yes, it's very important to have good stamina for a keeper. My keeper, for example, despite being respectable (proficient now :D), has feeble stamina and by the end he starts letting through more byes

Yee haw, comfortable 9 wicket win. Ashton played well for his 36, the only wicket to fall, and Lewington played a patient 47 off 82 in partnership with Flahaven who scored 33 off 60.

Lewington deserved a 50 though. :(
