Near-disaster against India just then, scored 301 and had them at 77-5 on a TIE before they recovered (understatement) to 257-5 with more than enough overs to get the runs. Fortunately they capitulated at the end and we won by 13 runs, pretty inconsequential as we can't make the semis anyway but would've been embarrassing to lose from there. Especially seeing as some guy made a thread on the Australian sledging boards accusing me of throwing the match because I left out a couple of batsmen, idiot. Oh and Cuss made 5, his 20-odd not out in the last match being his best contribution to date.

Still waiting on my cup fixtures, assuming they're still using a seeded draw I should get a very easy match first up. Watkins up to moderate fitness which is the minimum level I wanted him to be at for me to use him in the cup final v nibbs, so probably will play him though I don't know how much use he will be.

7 Pakistan 4 0 0 4 0 -11.36
8 South Africa 4 0 0 4 0 -14.30
As I've said before, teams win far too high a percentage when they're a bit better - you then get this unavoidable snowball effect whether you're good or bad.

Oh by the way the players are being aged in order of Player ID, that's why some haven't aged yet.

Same thing happened with the U19s, WC is ridiculously lopsided at the moment because of the effect of morale. Basically impossible for us to beat any of the teams with over the moon morale now, including NZ and SL who aren't really much stronger than us if at all in terms of personnel. Played NZ yesterday; one of their batsmen with a lower BTR and wage than Cuss made a century. Hopefully they fix it before the next WC or exactly the same thing will happen, no upsets whatsoever.

Forgot that I'd sold one of my starting XI for today's friendly so one of my batsmen is bowling 1st change. :laugh:6-0-53-0 Those are his current figures.

How sucky is this:
Code:
37.4 . Wellens to Appleton
Well that is quite remarkable! The ball has crept through Appleton's defence and trickled onto the stumps but the bails haven't budged!

Oh well Barton didn't last long, but at least 7 players got a bat to keep the form up. Daren't look at how bad my ratings are gonna be...

I'm get the impression the aging thing got 'stuck' somewhere along the line.

Won't make much of a difference really if it's still not sorted before the training.
