Well, the ACB & BCCI have agreed to it. The dates & venue have yet to be confirmed, but apparently it's shaping up to happen in late 2018...

From what I've seen Aghani cricket supporters don't mind travelling to watch their team. They should get a good number of energetic fans at the stadium on the day.

Would be great if we beat Eng/SA/Aus away and then lose to Afghanistan at home.
or is this all about making sure India gets an easy series to compensate the likely coming dent in their ranking. Good on them. Hopefully they make the other countries follow suit.

It's going to be one test, and the way rankings work, none of the current teams would gain any points from beating Afghanistan.

It's for Kohli to get a triple and compensate for the average loss in England.

Yeah playing the lower ranked teams can actually hurts India's ranking. India actually lost 1 point after the recent series against SL because of how low ranked SL are.

Nah. BCCI have kinda taken them under their wing. Very unlike the despicable ECB who steal from Irish cricket.

Afghanistan don't even have a better fast bowling unit than a standard English County 2nd XI
Yes, their spinners Rashid, Najeeb and Nabi are good. But the current fast bowling line-up is not that great with Hamid out and Shapoor losing his mojo.

Hamid and Shapoor weren't their best fast bowlers IMO though. Reckon Dawlat has more talent than either.
