Going to keep the T20 Tri-Series & New Zealand test tour to Zim separate.

All injured. Curran broke their finger against South Africa earlier in the month. Shame Raza is skipping due to commitments in America. That shouldn't be happening.
Fancy Bedingham will go big. Maharaj may captain if Bavuma is struggling.

Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe Test series due to his left hamstring strain.

Keshav Maharaj will take over the captaincy for the series.

Bavuma has not been replaced by anyone.

Lungi Ngidi will only be available for the 2nd test.

I did wonder how bad Bavuma's injury was and whether he'd be OK for the series. That leaves us with hardly any experience in the batting, which isn't ideal, even if it is against Zimbabwe.

Wonder if stick with wiaan at 3 with breetzke and Hamza being actual threes.
That is an interesting one. I wouldn't mind playing both at 3/4 but then that probably stretches the bowling too much with the inexperience.

Breetzke / Hamza
Bedingham
Brevis / Pretorius

Subrayen
Maphaka / Yusuf

A bit of a blow losing Bavuma the best batsman and captain for the series but still fancy the Proteas to win 2-0,
the most inexperienced side since the return from isolation, really interested to see how this pans out,

Wouldn't the side that went to New Zealand have had less experience?
Trying to remember who actually had caps?

Hamza
Petersen
Bedingham (debuted the series before)
Piedt (shadow of former self)
Olivier (shadow of former self)

My prediction for what its worth, 2-0 to the Proteas but in one of the tests Zimbabwe will put up a good fight and take it to the 5th day,
