This is where rotating the strike earlier and being smart about singles would have perhaps won Bangladesh the game. It's as if the batsmen have forgotten how to get runs in blocks of 5 overs.

think the soft dismissals of mushy and the like after getting in hurt them more. 36 off 3 was very doable with shaif at the crease, just needed a competent bat at the other end.

It's almost impossible. They'd have to win by something like 200 runs against NZ and then Pak will have to beat bangers by something similar for pak to cross NZ.

Don't necessarily disagree with you about the soft dismissals but maybe they aren't required with less pressure if its 20 of 3 for example. I think strike rotation also increase pressure on the bowlers and fielders and causes more errors.
