2nd Semi Final | Ind vs Eng | Adelaide, 10 Nov 2022

Left Arm seam has been India's Achilles heel in major tournaments of late ..

Think Mitchell Johnson and Starc in CWC 15' , Mohammad Amir CT 17 ..Trent Boult in CWC 19' ...Sam Curran could be England's key to victory
Doesn't has the pace nor height.. Not much swing in Adelaide this time.
Eng will badly miss Topley. Wood might get solid thrashing with his hit the deck bowling towards short square boundaries.
England need Jordan... And bowl more spin to SKY & Kohli

Why are so many fans of the semi final sides talking about match ups going back so far as though they matter in the context of these games? Weird AF.

I understand you all aren’t used to being g in the finals like we Australians, but you all need to calm the **** down and get some perspective
Haha yeah it's analysis paralysis when people talk about "India" having a weakness to some specific thing as if Tendulkar, Dhoni and Yuvraj have relevance to the current tournament.

Just bored and excited I guess. Happy to let them have their fun but most of this is nonsense.

Happens in all sports. Had an argument with someone on a TRFC board last week with someone who said we won’t win at Swindon because we never do.

Hudus like that can end up real just by virtue of people thinking they're real and letting them get inside their heads. Some of these deep dives into specific historical match ups are silly though because the players will have nfi about them anyway.

There is an element of truth to that, but at a player level it only really applies at derbies/rivalries imo. Like in the lower leagues of English footy where the average player stays at a club for maybe two years, they probably don’t have a clue whether their team have won at x ground before.

Would be a good time to have Rohit back in form, both for his career and team's chances. If we bat first I don't think India quite have the bowling firepower to put the breaks on England so it's really important that the middle order not be required to clean up the openers mess and drag us to a par score - the batting needs to do well from the first over.

I'd feel better if we batted second because then you are forced to deal with the run rate and can't make **** excuses about settling in although it probably doesn't improve our chances realistically.

England 60-40 favorites imo.

India would be favourites already vs England given the recent record between the 2 sides, but on a used pitch things go even further into India's favour imo

Rashid has performed better than our spinners in this series. It is still 50-50 with slight advantage to Team batting first.

Indians have really brought crap spinners this time around... They would give anything to have someone like Shadab right now. In fact most teams would.
