So NZ, with an inferior batting lineup to India, chased down 298 in 43 overs against a better bowling attack than India will face, and India have 7 more overs to score 29 more runs.

India to take this.
haha nah this pitch imo is harder to bat at, you have to play really well to score and this Aussie attack is better than the saffa attack.

you're joking or oversimplifying this. The NZ chase started with BMac firing on all cylinders. Otherwise would have been ****ing hard.

Totally different situation

agree. nz grounds are tiny. not comparable. flat deck too. this is two paced so maxwell or clarke can turn their arm over if needed.

Do you ask Dhawan to McCullum it? Probably not.

Would be nice to take some pressure off the middle order though.

Oh yeah, completely forgot about the off cutters. I was just thinking that his pace will be blunted.
Yeah he'd be blunted if the pitch was predictably slow. Here, it looks like it has decent pace but some balls are stopping, which will make things really awkward.

Nah Dhawan isn't quite in the league of McCullum as yet, main thing is wickets, 2-3 wickets in the first 10 overs and its game over.

75:25 to Aus at this point. Still just within the bounds of India being able to get there without Australia bowling / fielding absolutely garbage tho.

Feeling good about this TBH. We've restricted a stronger batting lineup to 22 runs fewer than what SA would have scored the other day
