Right, imagine – you’re 19 years old, always been a good athlete. Good hand-eye co-ordination, and stamina too. Sports in general have always seemed quite easy to you. You can play football and rugby very well also, but cricket gives you those moments to shine as an individual you enjoy. You’re just better than your young peers – the try-hard bowlers and steadfast batsman. It’s natural to you. You just see the ball and hit it. Or just mow down the stumps with relative ease when you bowl. And here are your career failures.

In chronological order:

- had colic as baby and cried endlessly
- didn't start talking til he was like 30 months old
- cried every day of the first term of kindergarten
- cried during his first Auskick training session
- crapped his pants in year 5
- cried on the last day of primary school
- first day of high school embarrassed himself greatly by loudly farting during introduction assembly
- completed every single school assignment assigned to him during years 7-10
- cried after breaking his leg
- got into metal music
- got smashed during the after party of his school's formal and ended up crying in a gutter

Nah I think your debut golden summer occurred when you were 18 and never been kissed.
