A mate of mine works for the ICC in development for East Asia Pacific region, and PNG are reportedly the best side by some distance in that competition, and I believe have a team in the U19 WC on at the moment.

A few PNG players have come over and played some club cricket here in Melbourne, and done decently. We had a young Japanese kid come and play for us, and it's quite interesting what they pick up quicker than those who have grown up with the game.
