Round 8 players drafted

East Rob(b)ham Upper Body
Teenager Jay Gonzalez is the latest addition to Upper Body. CW Green rarely played the young man, as stories of his hardcore partying stole the headlines and he was inconsistent in attending training sessions. But Gonzalez did enough in his few appearances to suggest that he could be a player of some impressive stature in the future.
Signing/s: JP Gonzalez
Haha, excellent.

Some things are too good to be true

Freshly confirmed, the latest potential signing for the East Robham Upper Body franchise, ex-CricketWeb participant Stephen Burke, has rejected his one-year contract offer.

The wicket-keeper batsman has spent his year in exile playing drinking games and making friends with Ku-Ring Gai National Park wildlife. Like ERUB overseas player, Darren Murphy, 'Burpey' as he is affectionately/***ually referred to, has been known to hold a grudge against teammate Liam Camps jr.

Negotiations were going along swimmingly at first. But then Upper Body Captain Nath Patrick dropped the bombshell.

Perhaps, this team encompasses as much controversy as is possible. Perhaps, Stephen Burke will change his mind. But one thing is for sure. Burke is absolutely huge. More as it happens.

Pretty sure it has to do with when you actually declared availability as well, doubt I would have been drafted in the first round otherwise.

Shah least minuscule draw in low-profile round
Horton, Sharma also signed contracts in round nine

Garven Island Turistas
Unknown seam bowler Kieran Horton, acquired from the depths of the Robbham slum, was snapped up by Garven Island in a surprise signing. It remains to be seen what Horton can do in CWLand, but local scouts suggest he bowls at a decent lick and can swing a Dukes ball under hefty cloud cover.
Signing: KD Horton

East Rob(b)ham Upper Body
Aseem Sharma's flamboyant and unpredictable demeanour will go down well in East Robham, though they will hope that he provides more than the two runs off four balls he managed in his IPL stint. The right-hander has been struggling to settle against the barrage of pace supplied in CWLand domestic cricket, but his strike rate in first class cricket suggests that he can attack with the necessary flair.
Signing: A Sharma

Mørkambe Mathemagicians
Right-arm seamer Manan Shah, who found moderate success in his seven one-day stints for the Blues last season, bolsters the seam attack at Mørkambe. Rumours that the drafting was influenced by the fact that Shah studies at the University of Mørkambe were heavily denied. The seamer also impressed somewhat in his stint at the Kolkata Knight Riders, taking 12 wickets in nine appearances before ending his off-season.
Signing: M Shah
