Yup that was the point I was going to make too as a comparable. Obviously I'm going to be biased and say I've no issue because I've taken part in several of the drafts, but I'll reiterate my stance that its related to cricket discussion and has a place in the Cricket Chat forum for that reason.

People will discuss what they want to discuss and if draft threads are popular which they obviously are, they will stay on page 1 of cricket chat. Everyone is free to discuss whatever they want providing it falls within the forum rules.

That was only fairly half-hearted TBF - I was more making the point that the Battle Of threads had gone a bit haywire, and had become a bit too regular.
I genuinely do believe that if drafts are going to become a regular, long-term part of CW they'd be better in a subforum than CC, because they are absolutely nothing to do with chatting about cricket. Nor, FTM, are Battle Of threads.

Personally I feel the repeated polls for picking players to play in the "1989-2009 XI" and such are a bigger problem, especially when there are repeated polls on the same issue.
I can live with them being there though. I'm not a fan of those sort of threads, but if others like them they should continue to exist. |

Jeez that flood of draft threads has been an enduring trend hasn't it? If only we had a sub forum, it would have been busy these last couple of weeks.
