Ban announcements
How about a separate thread when someone is banned showing why and how long for?
Not for any reason other than it stops the inevitable question being asked several times in different threads when there's a new ban. Also in some cases like the recent wf91ben (or whatever it is) it could avoid confusion as there are at least a dozen possible reasons for his/her banning.

A closed thread with ban announcements posted on it to inform members would be the quiet way to do it. It will mean that every Tom, Dick and Harry doesn't oppose the ban publicly. Of course if there is a ban which members feel shouldn't have happened, they can email the moderators or start another thread like the sledger thread.

Yeah, would be a great thread, should be applied retroactively though with the reason for every ban ever provided

Yeah, this would obviously have to be the way to do it. Think this is the easiest way TBH, as then anyone who saw a new ban had been enforced would always know they didn't need to post asking why and knew exactly where to look for an explanation.

His last one was a perma. Basically, he's unstoppable.
