I don't find the new arcade awards particularly work-friendly. When one is browsing at work, one tries to draw as little attention to oneself as possible, and any animation on a browser doesn't help matters.

    This is like a train
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Yeah, not a fan here either. Nothing to do with being caught at work, but it just looks untidy and distracts me.

Three years later, I think this is a good idea. Looks like it was never formally ruled out. Any thoughts, powers-that-be?

As long as they aren't used to explain to explain a lost avatar bet I think it's a neat addition

Yeah, still keen for this. Let me provide an example:

Cricket 24/7 - View Single Post - The END of Classic players

Apologies that its from another cricket website. Not even sure if you'll be able to see this without logging in, but this post is from a user who has the caption under his avatar "Black Dog Stopping Play!". Guess it would look similar on here if implemented.

Just make a condition of the bet that you also own the caption, as I think was suggested earlier in the thread

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

We don't want to make any changes until we make the move to vbulletin 4. Any changes made now may make the upgrade more difficult.

When's that likely to be, James? Sounds like a major change from what I understand of these things. (Which isn't much, granted.)

No plan currently. The general feeling surrounding vbulletin 4 is that in its current state, it is still too buggy so until they release a few more patch releases with bug fixes we'll hold off.

vbulletin 4 runs off a completely new template system and upgrades to it from vbulletin 3 with lots of mods are very difficult which is why we've tried to avoid making anymore changes to the current forum.

Proudly against the bring back Bennett movement since he is injury prone and won't last 5 days.

With vB4 we'll allow users a choice of sparkly blue and sparkly grey backgrounds.
