I'd be weary of Zimbabwe in a 20/20 game, and i'd never underestimate them.
Most of the players in the top order are big hitters so if they get a bit lucky they could put a worthy score on the board and the added pressure on the other team knowing they are favourites could throw a spanner in the works. Thats not a bias prediction, just a possibility.

Hmm England might put up more of a fight against the aussies then one would think. I like the look of this Broad kid and as long as Tremlett and Plunkett don't play they have a resonable line up.
And can someone ban Piertersonrocks?

My tip of the cup is for Matsikenyeri to have a blinder. His dinky and up tempo starts and energy are what 20/20 is all about imo. Plus, he shouldn't have to face the likes of Lee batting at 5 or 6. I could see him, Taibu and Sibanda doing some damage, especially against some of England's bowlers.

Australa & England best XI should be:
AUSTRALIA: Gilchrist Hayden Ponting Symonds Hussey Watson Clarke Lee Hogg Bracken Hilfenhaus - could be Australia's surpise package with the word that conditions in SA ATM would assist his type of bowling. ENGLAND: Maddy Prior KP Freddie Collingwood Shah Wright Mascarenhas Snape Broad Anderson/Kirtley - regardless of his superb superb Anderson bowling in the slog over is still bad, Kirtley they say is a death specialist these days so hopefully if picked he lives up to that rep.. |
