Should be a pretty even series, i wouldn't be surprised if Bangladesh win a Test and draw the series. Their likely squad could be:

M Jayawardene (c)
K Sanagakkara (vc/wk)
U Tharanga
S Jayasuriya
T Samarawerra
T Dilshan
C Kapugedera
H Fernando/G Wijekoon
M Bandara
M Suraj
S Weerakoon
N Kulasekara
L Malinga

Jayasuriya could get the captaincy, but i hope Jayawardene or Sangakkara get it. I think Tharanga might get the 2nd opener spot infront of Muburak and i would give Kapugedera the last middle order spot. After the form of Hansatha Fernando and Wijekoon with the bat in FC cricket i would give one of them a bowling all rounder/3rd seamer spot. Also Suraj get Murali spot in the squad as the third spinner.

It seems even Bangladeshis have joined the Aussies in playing SL in grounds that are not their first choice . * I thought only the Aussies were doing this to us by playing us in Darwin and Cairns !! But Bangla too...

Murali is closing in on his 1000th wicket in International Cricket - currently on 991 - I am certain he would not want to miss the earliest opportunity to get there . Unless he gets it in the VB series which is unlikely .

So I suspect he will play in one of the Two Tests at least .

The old Banghbandu Stadium in Dhaka is now only used for football, but a new stadium is almost ready, and should be used as the main stadium. Incidentally it was Roshan Mahanama who recently visted the new grounds as ICC approver.

Tharanga or Dilshan could fill the second keeper's role for this short tour .

I hope they use this tour to explore the depth of our cricket rather than make this an exercise of making up for the latter part of 2005 by burning Bangladesh.

I can't believe that there isn't a single match in Dhaka...it feels like I'm in twilight zone! They were suppose to complete the work on Mirpur Stadium a long time ago but as usual they are behind schedule.

this should be a good series for the future players..

Srilanka would be looking to try new faces in the matches against BD, so it should be good..
