Shouldn't we wait for Samuel_Vimes to complete his Modern team?
Samuel Vimes timed-out 4 days ago and Mr_mister made the last pick yesterday.

Also he can finish his two teams any time he likes, and the voting lasts for a week anyway.

I don't see an issue, especially as Vimes hasn't indicated anything.

FWIW I think that's a lot to ask of voters looking to quickly provide their two cents worth, especially those outside the participants. Honestly think you'd be better to do a normal poll & just ask for the top 3 combined... but your call obviously.

FWIW - ranking it in order of votes, so 5 equals 5 votes, 4 equals 4 votes, etc.

The Battlers Prince

International Vice-Captain
Classic

1. MorgieB - Some absolute classic players that I think shone just above the rest
2. J_C - IMO I think it's the best team on paper, but something about O'Reilly and Barnes bowling together that doesn't make sense to me. Still though, 2nd spot
3. Watson - an amazing top order, and left Gregory in his position at 9, an exciting team
4. Overratedsanity - other days this lineup could have been higher but today I'm just thinking it's not quite there. A couple weak links in the middle order. Good players, but a touch inconsistent. Very nice side though and I love the bowling
5. Zinzan - another top batting lineup and then three of the best allrounders ever in Noble, Giffen and the Doctor add to that a solid bowling lineup and it's a class side

Modern

1. Watson - this team is just a list of players who have the X factor. I really like this team
2. Red Hill - on paper, the best team. However, Lillee and Hadlee are very similar bowlers, and although it sounds great, I don't think it would work as well as a varied attack, like a Holding to share the new ball. I love Dev as the third seamer
3. J_C - another top side JC, a good if not brilliant batting side, and you won't go far wrong with that dynamite bowling unit.
4. OverratedSanity - just quality all over this team, I LOVE the four man pace unit. Just a touch below the other sides but a good team nonetheless
5. MrMister - a more "modern", modern side through the middle order, nothing major against that, but probably why I'm not rating this side higher. I do love the look of the XI though

Overall I think Watson had the best 2 sides for my voting, but nobody had an absolutely rubbish team. Good drafting and thanks to MM and everyone else who helped run this draft.

I should have chosen Tony Greig over Matthews for my number 7, I was fatigued by the end of drafting and not thinking straight

will put my votes in tommorrow
