CW50 Draft

I want to try out this draft which will be based on CW50 list that we at CW voted on back in 2009. I am sticking with edition 1 as opposed to 2nd edition because I think the original one is more representative of how the CWers rate cricketers.

The rules:

  1. There will be 11 rounds, with odd numbered round orders being randomized and the even numbered rounds having the reverse order of the previous round. Round 11 will have same order as round 2. You get 12 hours to pick
  2. In each round you can pick a player that featured on CW50 or one that did not. A player that featured on CW50 costs you points that are equal to 51 minus the rank of the player on the CW50 list. One exception is Bradman who costs 66 points. A player that did not feature on CW50 costs you zero points
  3. You have a max budget of 66 points (this means that only way you can make an XI exclusively from players in the CW50 list is by picking players ranked 40 to 50)
  4. To be eligible, a player must have played at least 1 test match

Can you give an example of player costs ankit?

Like the idea.

Is the distance between Bradman and the other top batsman only a handful of points in 'real life'. Or should there be a greater distance between Bradman and the No.2 Sobers? Not sure?
