Round 1 - Sneaky Soldiers vs. Spennymore Accordian Club
Win toss: and bat

Lineup:

1. Gambhir
2. Dilshan (7)
3. Bravo
4. Duminy (6)
5. Raina
6. Bravo (3)
7. Dhoni (wk)
8. Vaas (5)
9. Botha (2)
10. Southee (1)
11. Bishoo (4)

Other instructions:

Batting and Bowling aggressions at default.
Duminy and Dilshan only to bowl if necessary.
Quicks to be used with the new ball and and short spells.
No nightwatchman.

The overall mantra is one of playing to win. So aggressive declerations, and final innings if necessary and anything else that aids a result finish. Would rather go down fighting than draw.

I hope that all makes sense.

1. Virender Sehwag [6]
2. Rilee Rossouw
3. Phil Jaques
4. Ajinkya Rahane
5. Dale Benkenstein
6. Heino Kuhn [Wk]
7. Shakib Al Hasan [4]
8. Mohammed Mahmudullah [5]
9. Chris Woakes [3]
10. Rusty Theron [2]
11. Shabbir Ahmed [1]

Sehwag to be used as a partnership breaker when bowling.

If a batsman from the top nine is playing with #10/#11, he should play ultra aggressively in the first innings. Every one to play defensively if 4 wickets have fallen on day 5. If they do not lose another wicket from that point on and the last 20 overs remain on day 5, they should play ultra aggressively till they are seven down/end of the day whichever comes first. They should again go back to batting defensively if they go six down looking for quick runs.

Decided I'm going to play for a draw since I'm up against one of the best sides so adjust the aggression levels accordingly

Round 1 - Moops vs Furball's Fenoms

Win toss and: bat, unless it is overcast

Lineup:

Rogers
Rudolph
van Jaarsveld
Hussey
Yuvraj (6)
McDonald (4)
Foster
Sidebottom (3)
Steyn (1)
Kabir Ali (2)
Murali (5)

Murali to bowl plenty of overs please, once the quicks have had their opening spells then have Murali hold up an end and rotate the other quicks. Use Yuvraj for a few overs as a partnership breaker and to get through overs with the old ball once it's 75 overs old (use your common sense for this one, ie if one of the quicks is causing mayhem don't bring him off)

Declarations: Try and leave 100 overs max to bowl out the opposition in their 2nd dig, just use common sense for setting a target - around 4 an over.

Round 1 - funky Town Monkey Pimps vs The Brudenell Social Club Pub Quiz Team

Win the toss and bat.

1. Dean Elgar
2. Fawad Alam
3. Dinesh Chandimal+
4. Mahela Jayawardene*
5. David Hussey (7)
6. Andrew Symonds (5)
7. Angelo Mathews (6)
8. Graeme Swann (4)
9. Naved-ul-Hasan (2)
10. Vinay Kumar (3)
11. Mark Davies (1)

Symonds & Mathews to be bowled sparingly, Hussey only if things are going very badly.

No declaration in the first innings, do what you think is reasonable in the second innings but stay on the defensive side.

Up the aggression settings only if we're going for a win on the last day, lower them if we're batting to save the draw. No nightwatchman.
