*Official* England in New Zealand 2019

With the amount of money in the English game, the technology and coaching available, how does someone get to Sibley's age with such clear technical flaws in their batting? Is county cricket so poor that these batsmen don't get found out in years of playing but it only takes 20 overs or so of...

England is number 1 cuz they poached the best players from other countries not fair

The problem is, Archer has a British passport and has every right to live in, and play for, England. To stop him doing so would open yourself up to legal action. There isn't much you can do about it.

England is number 1 cuz they poached the best players from other countries not fair

The UK is a multi-cultural society and it should be a surprise to no one that it's sports teams mimic that. I think it's an amazing strength we should be championing rather than bitching about. Many of those you mentioned were either born here or moved here as young children, they ARE British...

The look of shock on Kohil's face when the ball spun so much is priceless.

Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

There's surely no way Smith survives this as captain. Not only admitted to cheating in the moment, but also that it was pre-planned? Crazy.

*** Official*** South Africa in England 2017

One of the best cricket pictures of the last decade that. So much going on. But I can't get over the fact Ali looks like he's doing the Anchorman celebration.

    Brett Lee's Test Career

While Lee had extreme pace, he never really moved the ball enough. This predictability let batsmen attack him more. Good bowler yes but not a great.

Stuart Broad tells people on minimum wage to "Stay Humble"

Many people in this country work their arses off for minimum wage and still need benefits just to survive. Many also have to rely on the charity of others to even feed themselves. While he's getting paid obscene amounts of money to throw a small red ball 22 yards. Stay humble you middle-class...

It's Tough Being Me - The Kevin Pietersen Story

Kevin Pietersen's anti-Andy Flower rant was the final nail in his England career - Telegraph Such a mess. Great gossip though ;) If what is said there is true then it's hard to see what KP did wrong. If you have a meeting like that then players should be free to discuss what they want without...

It's Tough Being Me - The Kevin Pietersen Story

I'm no fan of Morgan. But he wouldn't have put this out in the public domain if he wasn't definitely told this by someone he trusted (and not just his mate KP). I also noticed Prior didn't deny he said it, just that it was taken out of context. Not sure how what he said can be taken out of...

    Graeme Swann

anyone else notice the sly dig at the English batsmen there? ;)

    Graeme Swann

He's looked a bit disinterested really. If Monty is going to be the long term replacement (which you have to say he will be given the lack of talent in the county game at the moment) then the right choice is to bring him in immediately. I fear over the next 12 months we're going to lose 3-4...

    Graeme Swann

The officials Notts CCC twitter announced it. I'd say that's pretty official. Apparently he'll explain why in The Sun tomorrow (nice way to keep his future employer happy I guess :) )

    Graeme Swann

off twitter... Errm random? I guess Monty has a giant smile on his face about now mind ;) Wonder what's happened to make Swann suddenly retire like this.

**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Given his recent form. If the announcement is just about dropping the captaincy rather than a complete retirement, I can't see him sticking around for long. Only reason he wasn't dropped months ago is due to the fact he was captain.

How about the word of one of the most respected cricket journalists in the country? BBC Sport - Kevin Pietersen: ECB brave to drop him, says Jonathan Agnew

**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Apparently he was asked not to make the video by the ECB and did so anyway. It's all about KP and his ego. He's a fantastic talent but there's only so much you can take. It doesn't help KP's cause that England feel they can go on without him now.

**Official** South Africa in England 2012

It's got to be all about the Text messages he sent. If the England players feel he has betrayed them and he hasn't apologised then dropping him has probably saved the team moral in the long term. Had to be done.

**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Given Jonny Bairstow's obvious flaws against the short ball I'm not sure putting him in against the SA bowling attack is the greatest idea in the world. Clearly KP had been dropped which is what rushed him into the climbdown on youtube. I guess it was too little too late though. I don't think...
