Auckland are close to signing a mystery Aussie player they say has a similar profile to that of Matthew Hayden who was initially mooted. Any guesses??? Justin Langer?? Adam Gilchrist?? Glenn McGrath??...it's unlikely to be a current state player as Auckland needs someone now.

    Next in line for NZ

I've been looking through a few new faces this season and one of them kinda surprised me. He's been scoring alot of runs without really catching my attention until now, which might have been a good thing. I have noticed that Greg Hay averages 44.85 in FC, 71.66 in OD and 37 in Twenty20...lol...

    NZ U19's v Ind U19's

Im not sure if anyone knows that this series is going on but it's been a very interesting one. In the first test India won convincingly at Lincoln but so far in the 2nd test NZ require just one more wicket today to beat India. India need another 88 runs to win. The Indian side is carrying the...

    A question on coaching

I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how the coaching works in ICC 06. For example, im coaching South Africa and in the game Dale Steyn is fairly average. Now if I want to coach him what's the plan of attack? do I use bowling coach for awhile or do I use bowling technique? whats the...

    Martin Snedden to quit NZC

Snedden has been offered and has accepeted the position of Rugby New Zealand 2011 CEO for the World Cup. I'd like to thank Martin Snedden because I think NZC has progressed under his guidance and from the outside he's never really seemed to try and spark any trouble with media or players. His...

    Stephen Fleming

Fleming averages 40.15 in test cricket with 9 centuries and 41 half-centuries. Considering he spends half his time batting on New Zealand pitches, do you think that if he had converted more of those half centuries in to centuries he would have been considered as one of the batting greats in the...

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10401637 Looks like Otago aren't the only side looking at English players. Auckland have been looking at several candidates such as Bopara, Joyce & Shah. Meanwhile, South Africans Grant Elliot, Kruger van Wyk and former Glamorgan...

    Bracewell criticises Ryder and McMillan

John Bracewell has attacked the fitness levels of Jesse Ryder and Craig McMillan. Bracewell claims though that Ryder made the 30 man Champions Trophy squad because he is young and that McMillan missed out because he should know better. Apparently Ryder has been put on to a new fitness program...

Alot of us like to keep tabs on who the best up & coming players are from all the different countries. Who do you think are the best from the respective countries? And im not talking about a guy who plays U17 for India or an unknown guy playing grade cricket in Christchurch. They must have...

Is this a new individual record?

Today I played ICC 2005 for the first time in awhile. I was in season 2013 with Worc's and my sole overseas player was J.P Duminy from South Africa. I've had team totals over 1000 before, but that generally included a guy scoring 300 or so. This time, Duminy smashed 523 with 50 4's and 3 6's...

Good player in ICC Ashes 2005

Who have you found to be awesome in this version? any un-known players that have produced the results? I started a career with England and began by looking through profiles, to find a player named Scott Price, a leg-spinner from Lincolnshire of all teams. I thought this was kind of unusual...

For those who don't know, the haka is a Maori welcome that is performed, most famously by the All Blacks. Does it have a place in cricket? thoughts?

Martin Crowe has quit the Sky Sports commentary team and Michael Slater will take up his position for the entire NZ season. Crowe apparently wants to remain behind the scenes, but wants to see his daughter more often so he's cutting back on work.
